Talk about Food Industry during COVID-19

The Filipino Food Movement (FFM) was founded to create broad awareness, appreciation, and enhanced investment in Filipino Culinary Arts. With the food industry is struggling during COVID-19 shelter in place orders, FFM has compiled a national list of Filipino restaurants open for takeout or delivery services to encourage the public to support Filipino food establishments. APA Heritage Celebration Co-Chair Angela Pang and Chilipepper Events’ Chau Lam talk with Sonia Delen, President or the Filipino Food Movement and Al Perez, board member of the movement about the need to support local Asian restaurants.

Asian Pacific American doctors, nurses, pharmacists and everyone who supports public safety are rising to the occasion on the frontlines of battling the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) that’s spreading rapidly throughout our city, state and nation.

Our APA Frontline program on Facebook Live on May 14 experienced technical difficulties that did not allow us to air all four interviews during the online program. We sincerely apologize to our special guests and our viewers for the mishap. Please find the complete interviews with Asian Pacific American healthcare & public safety professionals on the frontlines of COVID-19 below. The APA Heritage Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting appreciation of the diverse Asian Pacific American cultures as well as to providing a forum for community collaborations.

The annual San Francisco celebration of APA heritage month is coordinated by community representatives who volunteer on the APA Heritage Celebration Committee.
